Welcome to Canes Gratia's
Sighthounds

A small kennel with a big ambitions when it comes to health and functionality

About

We are a small kennel based in Denmark, where we live surrounded by beautiful countryside, forests, and fields.

I began breeding Bulldogs under the prefix Venges, focusing primarily on health and natural reproduction, which became my main motivation for breeding Bulldogs.

In 2010, I developed an interest in sighthounds — their functionality, health, and beauty. The Azawakh in particular captured my attention with its unique temperament, sculptural appearance, and remarkable athleticism.

In 2012, I got my first sighthound, a Magyar agár, and just one year later I was fortunate enough to welcome an Azawakh into my life. This marked the beginning of my future with sighthounds. I have never been disappointed by living with these breeds; they are graceful, agile, slightly crazy, and incredibly loyal.

In 2013, I became the first French Bulldog breeder in Denmark to produce a litter from two fully health-tested dogs.

In 2017, I owned the first Magyar agár ever to achieve the title of Nordic Lure Coursing Champion.

Finally, in 2018, I owned the first Danish Azawakh to achieve the Nordic Lure Coursing Champion title.

These are three achievements of which I am very proud, as they represent what matters most to me — health and functionality.

We breed in accordance with FCI regulations, and our dogs are dearly loved members of the family. Our puppies are raised in the heart of family life.

In 2022, I decided to stop breeding Bulldogs because of the breed’s serious health problems. Fourteen years with Bulldogs gave me a great deal of experience, but unfortunately also considerable sorrow and frustration due to the extensive health issues within the breed.

Please take your time to look around and do not hesitate to contact me for further queastions regarding my dogs or future plans.

Kind regards
